National Museum of the United States Army

Congratulations to the U.S. Army, the Army Historical Foundation and exhibit fabricator, Design & Production Inc., on the grand opening of the new National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) on Veteran’s Day 2020!

This brand new museum in Fort Belvoir, Virginia is the result of many years of effort. NMUSA honors those Army soldiers who have fought and are fighting for America’s freedom and contributed to American society from the American Revolution until the present. RSL is proud to have worked for Design & Production to coordinate and detail many exhibit elements including exhibit partitions, hanging missiles and helicopters, speaker rings, display cases, the Army Concourse and other elements. Favorite RSL detailed pieces are the Soldier’s Story Pylons at the entrance and the WW1 immersion theater with angled trenches, glass bridge and curved movie screen.

Historic Valley House Flats

RSL was pleased to work with Modern Real Estate Sales to renovate the historic Valley House Flats in Brookville, IN. This complex consists of 6 buildings recognized by the U.S. National Park Service as historically significant, two of which comprised the Valley House, a noted hotel in the late 1800’s. The 47 apartment units found inside include both affordable and market rate plans and are conveniently split between the upper floors of the original buildings and the new 4 story annex building on the west side of the property. The local, family-owned pharmacy was even able to remain in their existing location, and there are plans for a restaurant on the first floor along Main Street.

Financial Center Federal Credit Union

The Financial Center Federal Credit Union (FCU) recently opened their brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Komoko, IN. This beautiful, 1-story building includes a clerestory entry, drive-thru service area, and 900 square foot learning center. We had a great time collaborating with our long-time partner, DEI, Incorporated, a credit union design and construction expert, and want to express our thanks to them. We were happy to create the design development and construction documents for this unique and unusual facility.

RSL has provided design and construction documents for most of the Body Alive locations in the Cincinnati area, including the latest in Crestview Hills, KY. Now, we have helped them to expand their brand into the Denver, Colorado area. Cave of the Winds

Cave of the Winds

Kingdom Productions created this 25’ way-finding sign for Cave of the Winds Mountain Park in Colorado Springs, incorporating large scale wind chimes. RSL provided technical input and construction drawings for this unique structure. The wind chimes feature 6’ and longer pipes and the overall assembly weighs in at nearly 12,000 pounds. Winds at the site can reach 100 mph, so the design had to be tough as well as good looking. This was a fun and creative challenge!

4900 Parkway Drive

4900 Parkway Drive

RSL improved this building’s appearance to attract new tenants and rebrand the property by updating the design of the exterior. The building at 4900 Parkway Drive is an example of how selecting the right materials, colors, and design to reinvent the exterior façade can improve your building’s presence and curb appeal. This design was so successful that RSL is applying the same concept to a twin building for the same owner. We use renderings, detailed drawings, product samples, and finish boards to communicate our ideas and streamline the decision making process for our clients. The possibilities for improvements are limitless. Contact us today so your building can start living its best life!
